Why we didn't send Christmas Cards

This is the first year since Lizzy was born that I didn't send Christmas cards. Some of my cards are sent very late--like June, but I always send them. We rotate between a family photo and a kid photo. The kid photo is usually much easier to take. The family photo--well just see the above. Lizzy is upset because I didn't do her hair in French braids--Lizzy, my reliable, helpful Lizzy and by the time she calmed down all of Will's good behavior was spent and I don't think John had a moment of good behavior in him. We contemplated, sending prints of this photo for our card with some message such as, "Wishing you lots of joyous family time this season." But we didn't think the photo was worth the money and time. And after this very trying photo session and not one good photo, I just didn't have the heart to try again. I'm contemplating changing my Christmas card rotation from kids/family to parents/parents/ parents. I think I can depend on Bill to not cry in the photo. Anyhow Happy New Year! Fom our happy family to yours.
