Two Pictures

Maybe one of the things that keeps me from blogging is that I make such a production of each post. So I'm going to try something simpler: a picture a day or every few days or once a week. I will try not to worry too much about the writing or the quality of the photos but capturing our daily lives. I have a lot of great photos from this summer that I hope to post someday but for now here are two more recent photos.

Rainy days here are like the snowy days of my childhood. Instead of putting on boots and gloves the kids put on swimsuits and go play in the rain. The picture I wish I had taken was of Zoey standing out in the rain in a pink shirt and a black tulle skirt with her arms outstretched and her face turned up to the sky.

Today is the last day of General Conference. Oh how I love General Conference. There is so much to love about General Conference but one of the best parts is sitting together as a family. The boys play blocks and legos, Zoey sews for her dolls and Bill paints Lizzy's toenails.

I like your idea-- just a photo or two and a few words. I've missed your blog.

That's a gorgeous shade of red fingernail polish and I bet Bill did a quality precision job.

Bill did do a great job and Lizzy suggested that red would be an improvement on my toe nails. But I declined saying I'm pretty sure spending that much time in close proximity to my crusty feet would diminish Bill's passion for me.
