We love #6:Shark Pajamas

Will becomes very attached to his clothes. When he falls in love with a new shirt he will wear it every day. He once asked one of his friends why she wore a different outfit every single day. His attachment to shirts come and go. Last spring it was the dump truck shirt, this fall it has been his red polo shirt, then his orange striped shirt. Currently his favorite is his shark shirt on backwards. But his affection for his shark pajamas has never waned. I bought him a pair when he was not yet two. Lucky for Will I bought John a pair at the same time. John outgrew his. Will outgrew his--but that won't stop true love. Will just wears his and John's shark pajamas plus another pair of hand-me-downs from a friend. With three pairs of shark pajamas he hardly has to go a night without them. Tonight he wore his 18-month-old shirt and the hand-me-down shorts. I keep trying to put the small pair in the goodwill pile and Will keeps fishing them out. He looks pretty pleased with himself.

I'm with Will-- I tend to wear my clothes until they're threadbare. I love hand-me-downs, too.

Oh my gosh! I though it was just Abe who insists on wearing too small pj's because he just can't let them go. Unfortunately, some of them are footie ones, which don't work so well when they get too small.

Gabie is the same way about pajamas and clothes in general. He's always frustrated when I send him upstairs to change out of his dirty shirt, "But I was going to wear it all week!"

Ruth,

I'm hooked! First thing when I turn my computer on at work now is go straight to your blog. I just can't get started until I know what the Mitchell's are loving today!

It's funny that when I was a kid (and even now) I get to like a certain shirt, food, or whatever and want nothing other than it.

I think he's going to grow up to be pretty cool...
