Will was very busy this morning building a ship out of blocks. He was trying to make it look like this ship in a picture book about Columbus. I wish I could describe how delightful Will is in the morning. Before the sun is up he sneaks into my room with messy hair and giggling with joy. For Will every morning is as wonderful as Christmas. I wish I knew what he is so happy about, perhaps just being alive.

You sound way happier about the "before the sun is up part" than I ever am :) Of course, we aren't usually greeted with giggles that early. Will looks so grown up--hard to believe we've been gone over 4 years now--he was just a baby!
Oh, Wibby! Megan and I sure miss his sweetness and joy when we are away at school.
Gibson is our happiest child. Maybe when you're number 4 and your parents are relaxed and you've always had playmates and you've never really had your own toys or space to feel defensive about, you just grow up happier. This is only a guess.
That picture of him is so sweet! That is so interesting about Will, because our Ben (#4) is so happy it is ridiculous. He always wakes up exited and giggling and ready to go. When I come upstairs from being on the treadmill, he will seriously put down anything he has in his hands and clap and clap for me. Cutest thing ever!
